Water I

‘Water I’ is a video-based installation through which the retracting and expanding movement of the ocean is expressed. I associate this movement with the in- and exhalation of breath. Culturally, the sea is often a place where people find stillness by watching the water. It’s a setting that invites to reflect on life. By simulating this setting, ‘Water I’ functions as an invitation to interact with it, as a space of reflection.
